The Valcourt Frontenac Wood Fireplace shares its name with Louis de Buade de Frontenac, the Count of Frontenac, who fiercely defended Quebec. Being named after a man known for his bravery, Valcourt made a bold move and took on their largest fireplace yet, and strived to make it environmentally friendly. The Frontenac provides elegance without compromising air quality being approximately 70% cleaner than EPA unqualified models.
The recommended heating area for this fireplace is up to 1,000 sq. ft. The Valcourt Frontenac Wood Fireplace features a guillotine door that disappears into the heart, allowing for easy access to load wood. The Nightflame glass makes the flame appear brighter without changing the color of the flame, and still maintains the aesthetic of the fireplace when the fire is off. The screen is also equipped with the guillotine mechanism so you can safely have the glass door open while the screen still is used for safety.
